Graciosa

This oval-shaped island, 13km long, is the second smallest in the archipelago, where Pico Timão is the highest point at 398m. As soon as you set foot on Graciosa you will immediately be in a Biosphere Reserve, as the island has been recognized as such by UNESCO.

With a very picturesque town, explore Santa Cruz to the fullest and enjoy its whitewashed houses and the 16th century Santa Cruz Church.

One of the attractions not to be missed is Furna do Enxofre, a cave beneath a caldera that can be visited, which was first explored by Prince Albert of Monaco in 1879 on his visit to the Azores.

Take your time and mingle with the residents, as it is a place easily visited on foot and if you want to try new flavors, try the famous Queijada da Graciosa. Enjoy this type of calm destination and everything that surrounds it, don't rush to visit the island in just one day.
