Itinerary

• Day 1 - São Miguel
  Transfer from the airport to the hotel.
• Day 2 - São Miguel
  Full Day tour Sete Cidades & Lagoa do Fogo on this tour you will explore the village of Sete Cidades, famous for the beauty of its lakes and surrounding hills. At the mountain top, two impressive lakes have formed in the volcanic caldera (basin) one with blue water and the other green (Lagoa Azul and Lagoa Verde) an incredible natural phenomenon and a sight not to be missed! Along the way the tour you will also go visiting picturesque spots, including lakes (Lagoa das Empadadas, Lagoa de Santiago) and sights less well known but well worth a visit due to their natural beauty. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Continue towards the magnificent Lagoa do Fogo. Before visiting the Lagoa do Fogo several stops to visit interesting places along the way including the calderas of Ribeira Grande and Caldeira Velha, where there are fumaroles and a waterfall of warm water! Stop at the viewpoint of Lagoa do Fogo with its magnificent landscapes and surrounding colors.
• Day 3 - São Miguel
  Whale Watching - Transfer from the hotel to the marina of Ponta Delgada. Activity which takes between 3 hours and is done by a professional team of lookouts, skippers, and biologists on rigid inflatable boats. Before you leave to the ocean, they do a briefing including information about the species you may see, and the Azorean Whale Watching code of ethics. At the end they provide you the necessary equipment you should take to ensure your safety and comfort (life vest and rain jacket). At the end of the activity transfer back to the hotel.
• Day 4 - São Miguel
  Full Day tour Furnas - Furnas is one of the most famous beauty spots on the island, with a history of volcanic activity that has left a legacy of particularly impressive natural hot springs, calderas and fumaroles. The Lake of Furnas and its holes are surrounded by lush nature. Lunch will be served at a traditional restaurant where you can try the famous "cozido" which is cooked by the heat of one of the Furnas fumaroles! On this route you will also visit Vila Franca do Campo, where you can see the famous islet. A visit to a tea factory is also included and there will be time to admire the breathtaking views from many viewpoints.
• Day 5 - São Miguel
  Full Day Living Experiences at Ginetes Transfer from the hotel to the meeting-point of Quinta das Raiadas at 08H45. We pass through Quinta das Raiadas to observe farm animals. Stop at Escalvado Viewpoint. House of the bread explanation and participation on how to make bread, local handicrafts and how to prepare a lot of traditional food. Light meal: soup, drinks (water, juice, tea). Taste a variety of local products including cheese and marmalade.
• Day 6 - São Miguel
  Full Day tour Nordeste. Explore the east part of São Miguel Island and get to know the greenest and most picturesque county, Nordeste. On the way, you will get to enjoy the northern villages and pass by Ribeira Grande city and Porto Formoso village. Enjoy this adventure and take advantage of the view on Pico do Bartolomeu where you get a privileged view of Pico da Vara, the highest point of the island.
• Day 7- São Miguel

• Day 8 - São Miguel
  Transfer from the hotel to the airport.
